“I lived in books more than I lived anywhere else.”  ―  Neil Gaiman ,  The Ocean at the End of the Lane Finally, the time has come for me to write my final blog post. I want to take а minute and say thank you to all of the people out there, who spared а minute of their time to open and read this blog. Every view was much appreciated and helped me out to get one step closer to actually graduating.   I was thinking for а long time how should I finish this blog. Maybe many of you found some of the things that I shared rather ridiculous and maybe even impossible. Unfortunately, not so many people can really understand how much а book can influence a person’s life. But I can solemnly swear that every single thing I shared with you in this blog was absolutely true and sometimes а book can give you an even bigger support than а friend.   This last blog post, I want to dedicate to all of the people who love books as much as I do. I am going to share with...

“The best moments in reading are when you come across something – a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things – which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours.”  ―  Alan Bennett ,  The History Boys   After а couple weeks of torture, I have the opportunity to finally finish this not-so-long list of eight books that, one way or another, influenced my life. For the last two books, I can say that probably there is not а single person among you guys who hasn’t heard about them. But I want to share with you another perspective and the fact that I found in them something new and а little bit different than everyone else. Without further hesitation I am going to present you book number two.   2. Atonement by Ian McEwan I think this book won me the second I heard it...

“The books that the world calls immoral are books that show  the world  its own shame.”  ―  Oscar Wilde ,  The Picture of Dorian Gray After а few mental breakdowns, many red bulls and coffees, some nose bleeding and а lot of tears, I finally have some free time to write my blog. Without further complaining about my non-existing social life in the last couple of weeks, I am going to continue with the next couple of books that I think everyone should spare the time to read in their life. 5. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë I think it was about time that this list of books included а real classic. There are not many people who haven’t heard about Jane Eyre and if you are one of them, shame on you.   This absolutely magnificent book is filled with many feelings, unexplicable events and unexpected turns. Although Jane Eyre is described by herself as “poor, obscure, plain and little”, she remains in the literature as one of the m...

“Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.” —John Green, The Fault in Our Stars Books are something that gives you а chance to escape the reality and to explore one completely new world.   Furthermore, you have the opportunity to see the world through someone else’s eyes which I personally find absolutely fascinating, breathtaking and overwhelming. In this second post I will share with you three out of the eight books that, one way or another, left а mark on me. For everyone who has never read them, give them а chance, every single one of them is going to be worth your time, I promise.   They are completely different in а matter of plot and genre but every single one has something unique to it. 8. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak I am going to start by saying that the storyteller is Deat...
